Her Approach
I offer both in-person sessions at the Wilson House in Whitby and secure virtual therapy for clients across Ontario. Whether you prefer the grounded presence of a shared space or the convenience and comfort of meeting from your own environment, both formats offer meaningful opportunities for connection, reflection, and growth.

Who I Work With
I work with adults (18+) who are navigating a wide range of emotional, relational, and life challenges. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or seeking a space to better understand yourself, therapy can be a supportive step forward.
Some of the areas I commonly support clients with include:
-
Anxiety and stress that feel overwhelming or difficult to manage
-
Feelings of depression, disconnection, or low motivation
-
Low self-worth or struggles with confidence
-
Navigating major life transitions such as career shifts, starting university, or relationship changes
-
Grief and loss, whether recent or long-held
-
Processing and healing from trauma — including emotionally harmful experiences rooted in relationships, neglect, or chronic stress
-
Interpersonal or relational challenges, including setting boundaries, communication issues, or family dynamics
-
Parenting stress and identity-related concerns
-
Psychological impacts following a motor vehicle accident
My specialty is trauma therapy, with a focus on how past experiences can affect your present life. Whether you’re processing recent events or long-held wounds, I offer a safe, collaborative space for healing.
My Approach
My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I tailor sessions to your unique needs and pace. Some sessions may be insight-focused; others may involve learning tools to regulate emotions or deepen self-compassion. I’m here to walk alongside you — therapy is a space where your experience and voice lead the way.
I work from a humanistic, person-centred framework—meaning I see you as the expert in your own life, and healing unfolds through a respectful, genuine connection. You set the pace; I bring warmth, empathy, and non-judgment.
Therapeutic Modalities
Depending on your needs and preferences, I integrate evidence-based approaches such as:
-
Narrative Therapy – exploring and re-authoring the stories you hold about yourself
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – shifting patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviours
-
Somatic Approaches – connecting with your body and nervous system
-
Mindfulness – cultivating present-moment awareness and emotional regulation
-
Relational & Emotionally Focused – understanding how early relationships shape your current experiences

Counselling Philosophy
The Unalome, an ancient Buddhist symbol, represents the journey of finding one’s way through life. Its spirals reflect the early parts of that journey—times of confusion, pain, and uncertainty—while the straight line points toward clarity, healing, and inner peace.
I chose this symbol to represent my practice because it mirrors the therapeutic process: often winding and non-linear, shaped by the experiences we’ve lived through, the relationships we’ve had, and the ways our bodies and emotions have learned to protect us.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, you’re not alone. I take a nonpathologizing approach, which means I see your responses not as problems to fix, but as ways you've adapted to survive and make sense of your world.
In our work together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
Drawing from Emotionally Focused, Narrative, Somatic, and trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioural therapies, I’ll support you in gently exploring your story, reconnecting with your emotions and body, and building a stronger sense of trust in yourself.
